Dump truck overturns on ramp from WB Schuylkill Expressway to Belmont Avenue

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A dump truck crash on the Schuylkill Expressway in Montgomery County is forcing drivers to take a detour.

It happened around 10 a.m. on Thursday in Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania.

Authorities say the dump truck flipped over on the ramp from the westbound lanes of the Schuylkill Expressway to Green Lane and Belmont Avenue.

Chopper 6 was over the scene as the truck lay on its side with dirt spilled across the road.

The crash is impacting drivers trying to get to Lower Merion and Manayunk.

There's no word on any injuries.

The ramp remains closed as crews work to clean up the mess.
