NFL free agency is off and running, and we're keeping track of every major signing, trade and release of the 2026 offseason, with analysis from our NFL Nation reporters and grades from our experts.
The new league year began Wednesday, March 11 at 4 p.m. ET. The first round of the 2026 NFL draft begins April 23 on ESPN.
Here's a breakdown of every 2026 NFL free agent signing by the Philadelphia Eagles and how each will impact the upcoming season:
Jump to a top-50 free agent: Riq Woolen

Woolen reached agreement on a one-year deal worth up to $15 million with the Eagles.
What it means: The Eagles add a playmaker to a talented cornerback room led by Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean. Woolen becomes the favorite to start on the outside opposite Mitchell, a post held by Adoree' Jackson last season. Woolen made the Pro Bowl his rookie year in 2022 with the Seahawks after snagging six interceptions, and he has racked up 53 passes defensed over four seasons.
His game has lacked consistency at times, which played a part in Woolen losing the starting job to Josh Jobe last season. The Eagles are betting on his considerable upside.
The Eagles re-sign the punter to a four-year, $14 million extension, including $7 million guaranteed, per ESPN's Adam Schefter.
What it means: The Eagles locked up one of the best punters in the NFL. He was sixth in the league in yards per punt (49.9), third in opponent return yards (350) and seventh in touchback rate (11.1%) last season.
Mann, 28, was a valuable piece of the operation in 2025, helping to support one of the top defenses in football, which played opposite an offense that led the league in three-and-outs.
TheEagles and Brownagree to a one-year deal.
What it means: The Eagles add a speed receiver who can help stretch the field. Jahan Dotson filled that role the past two seasons before agreeing to terms with the Atlanta Falcons last week. Brown, 28, has the stronger resume of the two, highlighted by a 1,000-yard campaign in 2021.
Last year, he caught 49 passes for 587 yards and five scores for the undermanned Chiefs. He would unlikely see that level of volume in Philly as the projected No. 3 behind DeVonta Smith and A.J. Brown. The equation would change should A.J. Brown get traded.
Mundt to sign a one-year deal.
What it means: The Eagles add a much-need blocking tight end to the offense. The group really lacked in this area in 2025, playing a part in the significant dip in run game production from the season before.
Mundt, 31, has played for the Jaguars, the Rams and the Vikings over his nine-year career. He had nine catches for 111 yards this past season with Jacksonville.
Calcaterra re-signs on a one-year deal.
What it means:Calcaterra is back in Philadelphia for a fifth season. A pass-catching tight end, Calcaterra has served mostly asDallas Goedert's backup, posting 42 catches for 494 yards and two touchdowns over 62 games.
The tight end room is starting to take shape with the Calcaterra andMundtsignings. The big question heading into the league year was whether Goedert, a free agent, would be re-signed.
The Eagles sign Jones for a one-year deal.
What it means: The Eagles add a veteran to a loaded cornerback room. The 32-year-old Jones spent the first nine years of his career with the Patriots before joining Washington last season, where he started seven games and finished with five passes defensed.
Jones has some position flexibility and provides depth behind the projected starting trio of Quinyon Mitchell, Cooper DeJean and new addition Riq Woolen.
The Eagles sign Ebiketie to a one-year deal.
What it means: Philadelphia adds to its pass-rush rotation after losing Jaelan Phillips in free agency. Ebiketie, 27, agreed to a deal that includes $4.3 million guaranteed with a max value of $7.3 million, per Adam Schefter. He had back-to-back six-sack campaigns in 2023 and '24 before finishing with two sacks this past season in Atlanta.
The Eagles will continue to look for edge rushing help to join a group that includes Jalyx Hunt, Nolan Smith Jr. and now Ebiketie.
Pierce signs a one-year deal with Eagles.
What it means: Pierce joins an intriguing backfield group that is led by Saquon Barkley and includes Tank Bigsby and Will Shipley. A fourth-round pick by the Texans in 2022, Pierce had a strong rookie season (939 rushing yards, four touchdowns) but has been hampered by lower-body injuries in recent seasons. He was waived by the Texans around the midpoint of last season and was picked up by the Chiefs, appearing in just one game for Kansas City. This is a low-risk move with decent upside for Philadelphia should Pierce return to somewhere near his rookie form.
Smartt to sign a one-year deal.
What it means:The Eagles add to their tight end depth. Smartt is a former college quarterback who spent the first three years of his career with the Chargers before going to the Jets in 2025. He has made seven starts over his career and has posted 38 catches for 432 yards and a touchdown. Smartt has been a special teams contributor as well, playing 135-plus snaps on special teams each of the past three years. He joins a tight ends room led by Dallas Goedert, Grant Calcaterra and Johnny Mundt.
The Eagles agreed to a one-year deal with the wide receiver.
What it means: The first thing that stands out is Moore is close friends with A.J. Brown, dating back to their time playing together at Ole Miss. Could the signing be in part about making the prospect of returning to the Eagles in 2026 more appealing to Brown? Perhaps, but the trade speculation hasn't subsided, and this is probably more about Philly bringing in a player they like.
Moore, 25, was a second-round pick of the Jets in 2021 and has also played for the Browns and Bills. He has had north of 500 receiving yards in three different seasons. The Eagles have a growing number of options at receiver after also signing Hollywood Brown earlier in free agency.
The offensive lineman agreed to a one-year deal with the Eagles.
What it means: Philadelphia retains a valuable member of its O-line group. Johnson, 28, has started 14 games over the past two seasons for the Eagles, including eight this past season in place of the injured Lane Johnson at right tackle.
When he's not starting, he can assume the role of the sixth offensive lineman in jumbo packages. Philly needs to continue to add depth along the front this offseason, but this signing is a good start.
