Water main break floods street in Philadelphia's Tacony neighborhood

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Crews are responding to a water main break in Philadelphia's Tacony neighborhood.

Chopper 6 was over the scene shortly before 6 p.m. Wednesday as water could be seen gushing down Tulip Street near Princeton Avenue.

Emergency crews and utility workers responded to assess the damage.

Officials have not released details about the size of the water main involved.

It was not immediately clear whether any customers lost water service as a result of the break.
