PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Crews are currently working on emergency repairs to the Market Street Bridge in Philadelphia.
PennDOT said a section of the span, which crosses the Schuylkill River, has been damaged.

The bridge is being reduced to one lane in each direction for several weeks between 30th Street and 23rd Street.
Drivers should expect delays and significant backups in the area.
PennDOT said bridge engineers are conducting an inspection to establish a plan for emergency repairs.
