EWING, N.J. (WPVI) -- There was a major milestone in Mercer County, New Jersey, on Wednesday.
After a fire devastated a senior center several years ago, they are building a new future out of the ashes.
Action News was there for a topping out ceremony to rebuild the Ewing Township Senior and Community Center.
During the ceremony they placed the final beam on the new facility.
A massive fire destroyed the old building back in 2022.
A group of firefighters who battled those flames signed the final beam together.
Construction is expected to be completed by the end of this year.
