Final touches on festive floats ahead of America's 250th birthday celebration

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Philadelphia is getting ready to celebrate America's 250th birthday in a big way.

On Monday organizers gathered at the National Constitution Center to put the finishing touches on the floats for the upcoming celebration.

The floats are decorated with everything from crushed pinecones and cranberry seeds to silk flowers.

They highlight iconic Philadelphia landmarks and patriotic symbols, including the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, fireworks, stars, and eagles.
