Former Wilmington teacher charged with sexually abusing 5 students

WILMINGTON, Del. (WPVI) -- Delaware State Police say a former teacher sexually abused five boys who were students in his second-grade classroom in Wilmington.

It happened during the 2023-24 year when 57-year-old Vincent Buckwash was a teacher at the Anna P. Mote Elementary School.

Investigators said that they found that Buckwash had touched five students on several occasions during class.

Buckwash was charged with 10 felonies and released after posting bond.

He was removed from his position and has since retired.
