Jayne was a Bristol Township police officer from 1989 until 2000.

He then worked in security in the Bristol Township School District. According to the district, police do not believe any BTSD students were involved.

The district went on to say Jayne cleared a background check when he was hired, and noted he has not worked for the school system since 2023.

Jayne has been charged with possession of child pornography, dissemination of child pornography and criminal use of a communication facility.
