
PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- The former SWAT officer who pepper sprayed protesters in 2020 will serve one year of probation after pleading no contest to assault and related crimes.
Richard Nicoletti was seen on video pepper spraying a protester in the wake of George Floyd's murder.
Nicoletti was fired from the police force after the incident.
His original case went before a jury in 2023 and ended in a mistrial.
