Franklin Fountain in Old City introducing 26 unique ice cream flavors

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- An iconic Philadelphia ice cream parlor is reinventing the sweet treat.

The Franklin Fountain in Old City announced it is experimenting with 26 new and unique flavors just in time for spring and summer.

Starting Friday, customers can try a Charcuterie Board Flight.

The flavors reflect those in a meat and cheese board, including fig, brie, moliterno, and olive oil.

The flight is paired with a pint of Caramelized Garlic Toffee ice cream.

Other flavors, such as Elderberry Goat Cheese and Caprese, will be revealed twice a month, throughout August.

The limited-edition flavors are available on release days starting at 11 a.m.

The flavors will not be available by the scoop, but only sold in flights or pints, first-come, first-served until they run out.
