Gas station mini marked robbed at gunpoint in Parkside

PARKSIDE (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police are looking for an armed robber who targeted a gas station mini market in the city's Parkside section.

The robbery happened on December 24 at 5 a.m. at the Sunoco Mini Market on the 3700 block of Girard Avenue.

Police say the robber walked into the store and grabbed the clerk, forcing his way behind the counter.

He then pulled a handgun and demanded money from a second employee behind the register.

The man fled on foot and was last seen heading south on 38th Street.

There were no reports of injuries.

The suspect is described as a black male, 6'0 tall, 185 lbs. with a dark complexion. He was wearing a dark colored winter hat, Navy jacket with a distinct patch on the left arm and a hooded sweatshirt underneath, light blue gloves, and blue jeans.
