Gov. Shapiro and First Lady visit Elmwood Park Zoo in Norristown, PA

NORRISTOWN, Pennsylvania (WPVI) -- Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro and first lady Lori Shapiro stopped by Elmwood Park Zoo in Norristown, Pennsylvania on Friday.

The couple met with local leaders to tour the new animal hospital and welcome center.

It's one of the largest and most advanced exotic animal care facilities in the nation.

Construction was made possible by 3 million dollars in funding from the Redevelopment Assistance Capital Award.
