Greater Wilmington beer week returns with a toast

WILMINGTON, Del. (WPVI) -- Wilmington, Delaware is celebrating America's 250th anniversary by raising a glass to the milestone.

Mayor John Carney led the toast on Wednesday evening at the Trolley Tap House.

The city is also celebrating Greater Wilmington Beer Week.

Eight breweries and six restaurants are taking part.

Each brewery is creating its own signature beer for Delaware 250, encouraging attendees to explore and sample.

Greater Wilmington Beer Week is presented by Out & About Magazine, in partnership with the Greater Wilmington Convention & Visitors Bureau.

It runs through Sunday, February 22nd.
