Man & woman killed; Police investigate murder-suicide in North Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA -- Police are investigating an apparent murder-suicide in North Philadelphia.
Officers responded to a home along the 2300 block of North 18th Street around 5:30 Saturday evening.
Inspector D.F. Pace says a 43-year-old man and a 42-year-old woman were found shot in the head on the 2nd floor of the home.
Both were taken to Temple University Hospital where they died.
"It appears that the man turned the gun on the woman inside the home and then turned the gun on himself. A gun was recovered from the hand of the man," according to Pace.
Police believe the man and the woman were involved in a relationship.
