Hampton Inn hotel workers ratify new contract agreement after Philadelphia strike

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Union workers at a Center City hotel who went on strike last month have reached a new contract agreement.

Employees with the Hampton Inn voted unanimously to ratify the deal on Friday. It includes pay increases, workload reductions and free union health care.

The Hampton Inn is one of eight Center City hotels that has seen union contracts expire.

It is the first of the hotels to settle.
