Homicide investigation underway in Norristown, Pa.

NORRISTOWN, Pa. (WPVI) -- A homicide investigation is underway in Norristown, Montgomery County.

Officers responded to a home on the 800 block of DeKalb Street near Oak Street on Tuesday afternoon.

Nearby, investigators discovered a vehicle that had struck a pole at Jacoby and Green streets. The victim inside was later pronounced dead.

Police have not released the victim's identity or details about the circumstances surrounding the death or the crash.

Authorities told Action News the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office is leading the investigation.
