ACHIEVEability day of service in West Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- More than 750 volunteers rolled up their sleeves to help beautify parts of West Philadelphia.

ACHIEVEability's third annual Impact Day took place on Friday.

This year, the effort focused on the 5900 of Market Street.

The large-scale day of service features a variety of hands-on projects, like weeding, removing litter, power-washing porches, and installing mailboxes.

ACHIEVEability works to support families in our area with community and economic development as well as higher education opportunities.
