Innocent bystander shot in West Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- An innocent bystander is recovering after a gunman opened fire in West Philadelphia.

Dozens of crime scene markers littered the road at 55th Street and Baltimore Avenue Sunday.

Police say the shooter was aiming for a man who was leaving a corner store.

A man, who was down the street from the scene, was struck instead.

He was taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg.

No one else was hurt.
