Investigation underway into what caused fire at North Philadelphia row home

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Officials are looking into what caused an abandoned row home to catch fire.

It happened on the 3000 block of North 4th Street in North Philadelphia.

Flames could be seen on the first and second floors when crews arrived.

A resident told Action News that the abandoned home was being used by squatters, who sometimes set fires to stay warm.

Neighbors say it's a recurring problem on the block.

No injuries were reported in this fire.

The fire is under investigation.
