PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- The Jitney to the Jersey Shore is back in Philly this summer, with all of the nostalgia and the fun.
The Jitney Yellow Line by Pacifico is offering $5 shuttle bus rides from Philadelphia to two popular shore towns: Wildwood and Cape May.
"Five dollars is basically what a toll costs, anyway," says Riley Gilbert from ModOp. "It's a bang for your buck, but also part of the premise of it isn't just getting people to the shore; it's having fun while doing so. Even if you are sitting in traffic, it's a party on the bus. We also have happy hour hangs before departure. The bus is a full party. When you get to the Jersey Shore, you could do another post-hang at that location."
The Jitney Yellow Line by Pacifico is offering both weekend and day-trip experiences from the city, and you can choose your own adventure.
There are options for pickups and drop-offs and the length of your stay.
"We just launched a ride home Sunday as well," says Chrissy Benner from ModOp. "So if you're down the shore and you want to stay a little bit longer because your friends left, you can get a ride back to Philly Sunday nights."
On July 24-26, the rides are to and from North Wildwood. On July 31-August 2, it's Cape May.
Each Jitney passenger receives an "Adventure Kit" that includes a beach towel, a life jacket-shaped beer koozie and sunscreen.
Again, the trips are just $5.
