Joe Jackson dies at 89 after battle with pancreatic cancer

LAS VEGAS -- Joe Jackson, the patriarch of the Jackson family, has died at the age of 89, our sister station KABC has confirmed.

The 89-year-old was in a Las Vegas hospital, battling stage-four pancreatic cancer last week.

His son, Jermaine Jackson, tweeted last Thursday that his father's health was "not good."

Joe Jackson has battled several illnesses in recent years. He suffered a stroke in 2015.
