Man sought for fatal stabbing in Northeast Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A man has been arrested in the stabbing death of a 22-year-old man last month in Northeast Philadelphia.

Anthony Ramon-Maldonado has been formally charged with Murder and Possessing an Instrument of Crime (PIC), the Philadelphia Police Department announced on Friday.

The arrest comes just days after police released photos of the suspect, who has since been identified as Ramon-Maldonado.

Police responded to the 6000 block of Torresdale Avenue on May 24 for an unrelated disturbance when a witness allegedly approached the officers to report a stabbing victim nearby.

The victim, 22-year-old Joshua Toth, was found stabbed multiple times in the backseat of a gold Toyota Camry, located at the intersection of Benner Street and Torresdale Avenue.

Toth was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
