Man arrested after police seize several pounds of meth in Reading

READING, Pa. (WPVI) -- Police in Reading have arrested a man after officers seized several pounds of methamphetamine.

Investigators say 33-year-old Kyle Lane was taken into custody Monday after he tried to run away from officers who were searching apartments in the 300 block of South 5th Street.

During the search, police say they found three pounds of methamphetamine with an estimated street value of $54,000.

They also found more than $10,000 cash, which they suspect were proceeds from drug sales.

Lane now faces several drug charges.
