Lansdale man arrested for child porn possession

LANSDALE, Pa. (WPVI) -- Authorities in Montgomery County announced the arrest of William Martin on Friday.

The 44-year-old Lansdale resident is accused of possessing and distributing child pornography.

The investigation began with a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in December 2024.

According to the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office, detectives found numerous images of child sexual abuse material involving young female children and adults on Martin's cell phone.

He is facing 100 felony counts of disseminating child sexual abuse material, 10 counts of possessing child sexual abuse material and criminal use of a communications facility.

Martin is being held on $50,000 bail. He's due in court for a preliminary hearing on September 16.
