Man badly burned following house fire in Philadelphia's Tioga-Nicetown neighborhood

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A man was badly burned following an early morning house fire in Philadelphia's Tioga-Nicetown neighborhood.

Flames broke out just after 1:30 a.m. Monday in a home on the 3200 block of North Dover Street.

Crews tell Action News a 70-year old man suffered burns to 70% of his body. He was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.

The fire was quickly placed under control.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
