PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A family affair turned deadly after a man was stabbed to death inside a home in Northeast Philadelphia.
It happened around 11 p.m. on Thursday on the 1900 block of Devereaux Avenue.
Police say a man in his early 20s killed a 36-year-old relative while other family members were inside the home.
"They found the 36-year-old victim lying on the basement floor. He was suffering from multiple stab wounds to the face and torso," said Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small.
Medics pronounced the victim dead on the scene. His name has not been released.
Police took the suspected killer into custody and also recovered a steak knife they say was used in the killing.
The incident remains under investigation.
