Man found dead during house fire in South Whitehall Twp., Lehigh County

SOUTH WHITEHALL TWP., Pa. (WPVI) -- A man was found dead during a house fire in South Whitehall Township, Lehigh County.

The coroner's office was called to the 2800 block of Helen Street around 4:40 a.m. on Monday.

When firefighters arrived, officials say they recovered the victim from inside the home.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials say an autopsy will be conducted Monday, and that the scene remains active and under investigation.

The victims identity has not yet been released.
