Man injured after street sign falls on him in North Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A freak accident in North Philadelphia sent a man to the hospital when a street sign fell on top of him.

Chopper 6 was over the scene at 5:30 p.m. Friday on the 3000 block of North Bonsall Street as medics worked to stabilize the victim and get him to an ambulance.

There's no word yet on his condition or what caused the pole to topple.
