Man killed after crashing into box truck in Egg Harbor Twp., NJ

EGG HARBOR TWP., N.J. (WPVI) -- Police are investigating a fatal crash involving a box truck in Atlantic County that left one man dead.

It happened around 2:45 p.m. Wednesday on the 1700 block of Somers Point Mays Landing Road in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey.

Police say a box truck was stopped in traffic to reverse down a residential driveway and unload materials when the driver of a Jeep Cherokee, identified as 64-year-old Isaac Wogansky, crashed head-on into the stopped truck.

According to witnesses, traffic was slowing in both directions as drivers waited for the truck driver to reverse.

Police say Wogansky was unable to stop in time, causing him to lose control and crash into the front of the truck.

Wogansky was transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, where he later died.

There's no word of any injuries to the truck driver.

The crash remains under investigation.
