Man shot 6 times in Philadelphia's Point Breeze neighborhood

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A 23-year-old man was hospitalized after being shot multiple times Wednesday night in Philadelphia's Point Breeze neighborhood.

The shooting happened around 9 p.m. near 23rd and Dickinson streets.

Authorities said the victim was struck six times and was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was listed in critical but stable condition.

Investigators recovered approximately 39 shell casings at the scene.

Police are searching for two gunmen who were last seen fleeing south on 23rd Street in a dark gray sedan.

Officials have not released details about what led to the shooting.
