Man's body pulled from Schuylkill River in Brewerytown

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Crews pulled the body of a man from the Schuylkill River near the Girard Avenue Bridge.

Philadelphia police and fire departments were called to the scene in Brewerytown just before 11:30 p.m. Saturday.

Witnesses reported seeing a man fall from the bridge, and surface twice before going under the water.

Police say his body was later found near the bridge around 2 a.m. Sunday.

The incident is under investigation.
