Marine Corps Birthday Ball held in Philadelphia's Center City

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- The Marine Corps Birthday Ball was held Monday night in Philadelphia's Center City.

Actor and retired Marine Rob Riggle helped the military branch celebrate milestones by speaking at the 100th Marine Corps Birthday Ball.

The cherished tradition took place in the same ballroom as the first one, which was inside the Bellevue Hotel in Center City.

It comes as they celebrate 250 years of the U.S. Marine Corps.

The celebration concludes on Tuesday, which is Veterans Day, with a ceremony aboard the Battleship New Jersey in Camden.
