
PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A mini soccer pitch will open next to Philadelphia City Hall as the city continues getting ready for the FIFA World Cup this summer.
Officials will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Dilworth Park Friday morning to celebrate the opening of the mini soccer pitch ahead of the FIFA World Cup.
The mini soccer pitch will be open through October, along with a number of family-friendly games on the field.
The city hosts six FIFA World Cup games to be played at the Linc, including one on the 4th of July.
There's a lot going on this summer. Along with the FIFA World Cup, the city will be hosting the MLB All-Star game and the nation's 250th anniversary celebration.
