Missing moving company cargo discovered in Fairfield, New Jersey trash bins
FAIRFIELD, New Jersey -- After a series of reports and growing complaints against a Fairfield, New Jersey, moving company, people claiming to be customers were alarmed to learn items were being thrown in the trash.
Back in November, 2025, police asked 7 On Your Side to help warn the public about a moving company called Noble Moving and Storage.
Now, household goods from the company's warehouse appear to be tossed for the garbage.
It's an alarming sight. Household property, from boxes to beds, loaded in a dumpster. Some of the items include names, so 7 On Your Side tracked them down. They were shocked to learn the items - some irreplaceable and family treasure - are right now in a massive trash bin.
"We saw the boxes marked. Bathroom mark, kitchen. Mark. bedroom, wrapping materials, blankets," said one couple, who asked they not be identified.
The New York couple hired a different moving company, but they showed up in New Jersey on Tuesday, hoping to find their belongings and discovered a dumpster filled with discarded home goods.
"They loaded up the truck with as much as they could, which is actually a full truck," said the husband. "And they took off and they said that they would give us a call one, two, three days and let us know when the delivery is going to be, and nothing."
The couple said they were directed to this location in Fairfield by the landlord of another warehouse in Garfield, New Jersey. That was the known address of the moving company they had hired.
"They don't answer their phones at all, any, any contact," they said.
Also found: medical ID cards and paperwork littered across the ground, including a shattered picture of a little girl.
"Oh my baby! You recovered it. I'm so grateful. That's my daughter," said Lenny Santillan of Staten Island.
Santillan says his family hired a different moving company in February in order to relocate to North Carolina so the little girl in the picture could get specialized medical care. She is an adult today, but waiting for a kidney transplant. Santillan says they picked up all his belongings, but never delivered.
"My heart crushed. I almost fainted. I cried. My whole life is there. My mother's picture when she passed," Santillan said. Adding, "It's terrible what the people have done to me. They stole my life. All my belongings."
Santillan also identified more if his family photos thrown outside the former warehouse of Noble Moving and Storage. Fairfield Police tells ABC 7 they've been getting complaints about the movers since August of last year. Some tell the department haven't received all or part of their delivery.
Noble denied any wrongdoing when we reached out to them last year.
On Wednesday, an even bigger dumpster had been delivered. 7 On Your Side managed to speak with the landlord of the warehouse office building.
"We have a court decision from them. They left already," said the owner.
He confirmed that the household goods were abandoned in the warehouse.
The landlord agreed to wait to haul away what he's clearing from his property and allowed the New York couple inside to look for their items.
They had no luck.
"I didn't see anything that was ours," said the husband.
7 On Your Side contacted Noble Moving and Storage for an explanation. They answered a text yesterday, referring us to their attorney.
As of this reporting, he has not responded to our request for comment, but requested we make an appointment through his office.
