BENSALEM, Pa. (WPVI) -- A man was killed after getting out of a car that was having mechanical difficulties along Route 1 in Bensalem, Pa., on Tuesday morning.
It happened around 5:30 a.m. in the southbound lanes between the Rockhill Drive/Neshaminy Mall exit and the Pennsylvania Turnpike.
According to police, the driver of a Honda Fit, identified as 45-year-old Julio Ricardo Munoz of Philadelphia, was experiencing problems with his vehicle.
The Honda stopped in the roadway, and police say Munoz got out of the car.
That's when, police say, his Honda was hit by a Kia Seltos, and Munoz was then hit by the Honda.
The Honda was hit again by a Jeep Cherokee.
Video from Chopper 6 showed the three damaged vehicles stopped at the scene.

A front-seat passenger in the Honda was taken to the hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Bensalem police say the crash remains under investigation.
