New Delaware EZ-Pass customers to get free transponder ahead of toll price increase

The Delaware Division of Motor Vehicles is offering free EZ-Pass transponders to new account holders.

The promotion runs through the entire month of August for anyone who opens a new EZ-Pass account.

Commercial accounts are excluded.

Transponders typically cost $15.

The offer comes ahead of a toll increase along I-95 in Newark, Route 301 Mainline and Route 1.

Customers with a Delaware EZ-Pass will also get discounted rates when tolls go up.
