
NORRISTOWN, Pa. (WPVI) -- Classes are back to normal at Norristown Area High School after the school was placed on lockdown on Tuesday.
Following an altercation between students, there was a report of a possible weapon on campus, causing officials to lock down the school.
West Norriton Police questioned several students alleged to have been involved in the altercation, as a result, specific areas of the building were secured.
K9 units were also used for a more extensive search of the building.
No weapon was found during the search.
Once the building was deemed safe by police, students were gradually dismissed for the day.
The district provided counselors on Wednesday for those who needed the service.
