Ocho Supper Club brings Afro-Caribbean cuisine to Rittenhouse Hotel

RITTENHOUSE SQUARE (WPVI) -- Inside the Rittenhouse Hotel, RJ Smith is serving Afro-Caribbean dishes with an 8-course dining experience overlooking the iconic Rittenhouse Square.

RJ is the mastermind and chef behind the supper club. Running the restaurant while still a senior in college at Drexel University. The 21-year-old plans to graduate in June.

He started the supper club 2 years ago on campus with a table he bought on Facebook and rotating menu. The opportunity to take it up a notch at Rittenhouse Hotel came when Scarpetta closed and the space was open until a new steak house moves in this summer.

The Ocho Supper Club is in residence until July serving dinner every other Sunday.
