Off-duty police officer assaulted, robbed in North Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- One person is in custody and another is still on the run after an off-duty Philadelphia police officer was assaulted and robbed.

It happened at 10th and Brown Streets in North Philadelphia at midnight early Friday.

Investigators say the officer's weapon was among the stolen items.

He suffered lacerations to the face and is in stable condition.
