Armed robbery reported at Northeast Philadelphia motel

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred in the parking lot of a motel in Northeast Philadelphia late Sunday morning.

Officers responded to the 11500 block of East Roosevelt Boulevard at about 10 a.m., according to authorities.

Police said two men approached two people who were inside a Nissan Rogue.

During the robbery, a gun was pointed at a 44-year-old woman inside the vehicle, authorities said.

The suspects took a purse, sneakers, a duffel bag and cash before fleeing the area in a dark Chevrolet Impala, police said.
