One of 1st African Americans to serve in Marines honored

Congressional Gold Medal presented to Donald Poindexter

On this 4th of July, one of the first African Americans to serve in the U.S. Marine Corps was honored.

Retired Marine Donald Poindexter was awarded the Congressional Gold Medal Thursday morning.

Action News reporter Jeannette Reyes was there for the ceremony in Chestnut Hill.
