OXFORD, Pennsylvania (WPVI) -- Oxford art students painted patriotic Liberty Bells adorned with symbols of peace, nature, and history to commemorate America's 250th birthday.

It was part of a six-week summer course with the Oxford Arts Alliance.

The nonprofit was the recipient of a 'Let Freedom Ring' America250 grant facilitated by Chester County Community Foundation.

Students were grouped by grade level, ranging from 1st grade to 12th grade. They worked on six bells in total, each with a different theme.

The bells are planned to appear at an America 250 celebration in Oxford Memorial Park on Saturday, October 3, 2026.

Afterward, they hope to create a traveling exhibit in partnership with local libraries, municipal buildings, and more.
