Patient attacks nurses in hospital

MAPLEWOOD, MINN. (WPVI) -- Cameras captured a man's terrifying attack on the medical staff at a hospital in Minnesota.

Authorities say the 68-year-old patient turned on his nurses, chasing them and hitting them with a metal bar from his bed frame.

Eight nurses in all were hurt, including one who suffered a collapsed lung.

Police eventually subdued the man with a stun gun, a few blocks away from the hospital, but he died several hours later.

An autopsy is now underway to determine what caused his death.
