Officials announce plan to reduce number of aggressive driving crashes

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Officials gathered Tuesday morning at Pennsylvania State police barracks in Philadelphia's Wynnefield Heights section to announce a crackdown on aggressive driving.

During the event, PennDOT joined the Philadelphia and Pennsylvania State Police departments as well as bicycle coalition activists in urging drivers to slow down.

Officials say there were more than 2,100 crashes due to aggressive driving in 2025.

State and local police departments will be holding a coordinated enforcement day Friday along Route 1.
