Two people critically injured after rowhome fire in West Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Two people are in critical condition following a rowhome fire in West Philadelphia.

Officials say flames broke out around 10:45 p.m. Saturday on the 5400 block of Media Street.

When crews arrived, they encountered heavy fire on the first floor of the home.

Both victims were rescued from the residence and transported to Lankenau Medical Center.

They are listed in critical condition.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire.
