Philadelphia police seek suspect in pepper‑spray assault at Center City rally

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police are searching for a man who pepper-sprayed another man during a rally in Center City last month.

Investigators say the incident happened on Jan. 10 during a Rally for Venezuela near 8th and Market streets.

Police allege the suspect blocked the path of a 22-year-old man before spraying him with pepper spray.

According to investigators, the suspect was also exposed to the spray and was treated at the scene.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
