PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania (WPVI) -- The Philadelphia Youth Network places young adults from the city into temporary job opportunities for them to expand their view of the future.
It provides them a chance to receive payment while also getting an idea of what they would like to do for their careers.
Some of their participants help out at Bebashi, a community resource for people who are hungry or in need of services.
"The most fulfilling part of this role is definitely giving young people the opportunity to learn more about what's available and accessible to our community members and even themselves," said Director of Business Partnerships, Michele Gilmore Bey.
"I learned customer service skills that I never thought I would unlock yet. I will recommend always trying new things no matter what, even if you think you might not be interested in it. Try it...never give up on your dreams," said participant, Daniel Douglas of Northeast Philadelpha.
