Phillie Phanatic receives Gold Medal Award

SOUTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- The Phillie Phanatic was honored Wednesday with the prestigious Gold Medal Award from the Philadelphia Public Relations Association.

Mayor Jim Kenney was there along with Philadelphia music icon Skip Denenberg to honor the Phanatic.

They took a look back at the mascot's career, entertaining baseball fans since the late 1970s.
