Philly celebrates the original selfie at Franklin Square

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- The selfie is a lot older than you might think.

Philadelphia's Robert Cornelius took what's believed to be the first self-portrait photograph in America back in 1839.

Saturday, the Philadelphia Historic District 250th Committee celebrated that history at Franklin Square.
