PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- The Police Athletic League of Philadelphia celebrated youth leadership in a big way on Wednesday.
15 PAL teenagers were sworn into honorary city government roles at Philadelphia City Hall.
The student shadowed city officials. They learned firsthand how Philadelphia's government functions.
Mayor Cherelle Parker and Police Commissioner Kevin Bethel, who is a former PAL kid, also took part in the ceremony.
The Tri-State Toyota Dealers Association also presented PAL with a $25,000 check to support its expanding youth programs.
